Tweed woman goes high range DUI with four children in car

A TWEED woman with four children in the car has been nabbed for high range drink driving, police allege.

About 10.25am on Friday police officers spoke to the woman, driving a white Chrysler Voyager, in the car park of a shopping centre in Tweed Heads.

The 41-year-old woman had four children, aged four, five, seven and nine, in the car.

She was breath-tested and returned a positive high range result of 0.195, almost four times over the legal limit.

The woman was issued a court attended notice for high-range PCA and her licence was suspended. She is due to appear in Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday 29 July 2013.

The children in the vehicle were not injured and were placed into the care of family members.
