Twin daughters saw Joe Antoun executed at front door

THE daughters of Sydney shooting victim Joe Antoun saw their father executed at their front door, police have confirmed.

The 50-year-old, who is believed to have gang links, was gunned down when he answered the door of his Strathfield home on Monday night.

His twin daughters and wife were home at the time.

Speaking to reporters at Burwood on Tuesday, Superintendent Mark Jones said police believed the shooting was targeted.

He said police had received little information but were looking for a male wearing a hooded jumper and dark pants.

The shooting took place outside of the western suburbs, which have been plagued by gang-related violence in the past 12 months.

Neighbours told the Sydney Morning Herald the family had only moved to the area recently.
