Two charged with torture after man locked in tool box
TWO people alleged to have locked a man in a tool box at Anstead, in Brisbane's southwest, have been charged with attempted murder and torture.
The man, 30, spent a night trapped in a 1.5 metre galvanised tool box on Saturday, after being bashed in the back of the head at his Essendon Road home before 8pm.
He drifted in and out of consciousness throughout the night before being freed by friends, who arrived the following morning and noticed lights on but could not find the man.
On Wednesday, detectives charged a 39-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, torture, deprivation of liberty, burglary, unlawful use of a car and two counts of stealing.
Both are scheduled to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday.
