Two Hervey Bay men allegedly punched in the head and kicked

TWO Hervey Bay men, aged 73 and 64, were allegedly punched and kicked after leaving a licensed premises in Brisbane about 9pm on Monday night.

Police have charged a 32-year-old man with two counts of serious assault following the incident on Charlotte St.

It will be alleged the men were punched in the head, causing them to fall to the ground where they were kicked.

Police said they were taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with serious injuries.

The man is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.
