Man jailed after drugs, guns found in Pottsville raid

TWO men have been charged with various drug and firearm offences following a raid on two Pottsville homes on Monday.
Ronald James Mortimer, 61, was charged with dealing with property suspected to be the proceeds of crime, three counts of supplying a prohibited drug and three counts of possessing a prohibited drug.
Mortimer was refused bail to reappear in Lismore court on October 21.
Murray Charles Robert MacMillan, 39, was charged with two counts of possessing an unauthorised firearm, cultivating a prohibited drug and possessing a prohibited drug.
MacMillan was granted bail.

TWO men faced court on Tuesday, charged with multiple drug and firearm offences after a raid in Pottsville on Monday.
At 4.15pm, Tweed/Byron LAC officers executed a search warrant on Sleepy Hollow Rd.
There were two homes on the property.
At one home, police allege they seized two unregistered firearms, a rifle, a shotgun and cannabis with an estimated street value of $3,800.
A 39-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station.
The man was charged with two counts of possessing an unregistered firearm and possessing a prohibited drug.
The second home on the property was also searched by police.
Police allegedly seized cash and illegal drugs worth about $83,000.
The drugs included cocaine, one kilogram of cannabis and 448 tablets of ecstacy.
A 61-year-old man was arrested at the house and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station.
He was charged with three counts of supplying a prohibited drug, three counts of possessing a prohibited drug and possessing tainted property.
Both men were refused bail to appear in Tweed Heads Local court on Tuesday.
