Two-year-old among those injured in car crash

A TWO-year-old girl was among those injured in a car crash near Burringbar on Wednesday.

About 2.30pm a vehicle was travelling north on Tweed Valley Way when the front passenger tyre blew out, Tweed Byron LAC Inspector Jim Cain said.

Insp Cain said the car then veered and collided with a bank.

He said the 30-year-old female driver suffered chest injuries from the impact of an air bag.

Her passenger, a two-year-old girl, sustained a "small bump in the head".

An hour later, a man, 40, driving a white Toyota Prado land cruiser was heading south on Tweed Valley Way when he came across debris from the first crash.

Insp Cain said the driver applied the breaks and slid into a steel safety fence, before his car rolled on its roof.

The man suffered small cuts to his knees.

Insp Cain said none of those involved were transported to hospital and no charges were laid.
