Ugandan choir will sing in harmony to raise awareness

A BEAUTIFUL Ugandan choir will perform in Kingscliff and Murwillumbah today.

Watoto is a choir where most of the young members are children orphaned because of war and poverty.

They are in Australia to expand their horizons and help raise money for their home villages.

The choir will perform a short segment of the Beautiful Africa: A New Generation performance for the community.

The children's choir has shared its soulful blend of African rhythm, contemporary gospel music and ethnic dance since 1994.

To dig deep, see Watoto at Kingscliff Public School at 11.30am this morning or at Tweed Valley College, 9 Hall Dr, Murwillumbah at 6.30pm tonight.
