Next Friday she is leading a bunch of young drummers at the Uki School Fete, then on Saturday she hits the stage at 2.30pm as front women with her band the Candy Apples before she sings again at 9am on Sunday with her all girls singing group.

She has also entered some artwork in the festival's art show, based on a rug made by her aunty.

"It is retro fabric art from the love rug series. It is recycled art that features old skills, skills that our generation has almost forgotten because of our busy lifestyles these days," Lil' Fi said.

Ukitopia is a three-day festival in the town of Uki, located 15km south west of Murwillumbah and features live music, food, art and more.

The festival also features a jam-packed art workshops program called Arts in the Mountains.

Based at the school, participants can revamp old necklaces, carve stone tile, work with clay, make wearable art and much more. For bookings, call 0412980063.
