Uki man charged over M'bah stabbing

A UKI man has faced court over an alleged stabbing in Murwillumbah. 

Jason Clint Sutton, 41, faced Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday, charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. 

Sutton allegedly stabbed a man on the riverbank at Commercial Rd, Murwillumbah about 5.30pm Friday November 14. 

Police claim he swam across the Tweed River to escape witnesses. 

Sutton made no plea and was refused bail to appear in Lismore Court on January 20, 2015.
