Uki pre-school to stay open longer

UKI parents got an early Christmas present this week with the announcement that the Mt Warning Community Pre-school would be extending its hours in 2010.

Pre-school director Pauline Hurcombe said the pre-school would be open from 8.30am to 5pm on days of highest demand.

“Up until now we’ve only been open from 9am to 3pm, and that has meant that we are not catering for families where perhaps both parents work full-time.

“This opens the preschool up to working parents and gives them other options for their children aged between three and five.”

A Federal Government grant made the extra hours possible.
