Union cases against State Government dismissed
TWO court cases launched by unions against the Newman Government have been dismissed.
Together union and the Australian Workers' Union fought the State in parallel, arguing that its massive job cuts this year breached the Queensland and Commonwealth constitutions.
Each side took slightly different views on just how the government was in breach, but both tactics received the same result on Friday.
Comment is now being sought from the State Government and the unions involved.
