United set to open account

MURWILLUMBAH United has a good chance of registering its first win this season against Mudgeeraba today.

Both teams are winless heading in to their Gold Coast Soccer first division round three clash.

Murwillumbah had a solid 2-all draw with United Eagles in round two after opening the season with a 5-2 loss to Runaway Bay. Mudgeeraba has lost games against Runaway Bay and Pacific Pines.

United will not want to fall to Mudgee in an away game and risk descending to the bottom of the ladder.

Meanwhile, Tweed Heads Kangaroos will look to put their season back on the track against Pacific Pines.

The Roos started the season magnificently, by downing Tugun 5-2, but fell 3-0 to Griffith University during the week. Pacific Pines has taken a win and a loss so far this season and the Roos should have their measure.

In other games, United Eagles play Tugun at Runaway Bay, Burleigh plays Runaway Bay at Pizzey Park and Robina City takes on Griffith University at Robina.
