Ute crash at Fingal
FINGAL Road, Fingal Head was blocked to traffic at noon on Sunday while the fire brigade and a tow truck hauled a grey Toyota 4WD ute from the Wommin Lake Creek.
The middle-aged male driver is believed to have left the road, hit the kerb and plunged into the waterway.
A nearby resident rushed to the scene, jumping into the water to help the driver out of the vehicle.
Onlookers said the man appeared to be uninjured following the incident.
