Brisbane representative lock Corey Parker has posted one the biggest wins in the club's history after capturing his third player of the year award.

The 33-year-old, who seems to be getting better with age, won the award for the first time in 2009, and took the prestigious honour again in 2013.

This time he topped the poll by more than 20 votes from outstanding young five-eighth Anthony Milford, who picked up a consolation award as the players' player for 2015.

Retiring captain Justin Hodges was a popular winner of the clubman of the year.

The victory by Parker, who was named the Dally M representative player of the year, and also the Wally Lewis medal winner in this year's State of Origin series, will enhance his prospects of taking over the club captaincy in 2016.

The heartbreak of losing last Sunday's grand final 17-16 to North Queensland in golden point was set aside as the club and players celebrated a highly successful season under Wayne Bennett.

Halfback Ben Hunt was a fitting winner of the club's best back, despite his grand final traumas, while Sam Thaiday, dropped to the bench early in the season by Bennett, was named best forward. It was the former captain's fourth win in the category after winning it in 2008-09-10.

Utility Kodi Nikorima, named this week in the New Zealand squad for two Tests against England next month, was voted rookie of the year.
