Violent glassing at Burleigh bar

POLICE have condemned two violent glassings on the Gold Coast at the weekend, including one that could leave an 18-year-old blind in his right eye.
The teenager was hit in the face with a beer glass after a dispute broke out at a Burleigh Heads bar about midnight on Saturday.
Acting Superintendent Des Lacy fears the injuries could be permanent.
Another glassing occurred at Surfers Paradise.
