Here's five fun things to get up to this weekend:

-LINDISFARNE Anglican Grammar School will hold its own carnival on Saturday as their Fun Fest is held from 1-6pm.

The school in Mahers Ln, Terranora will have a fireworks show, sideshow alley and even a chocolate throwing competition.

-THE Brisbane Roar soccer team are coming to Murwillumbah on Saturday for the Murwillumbah Football Club v Mudgeeraba Gold Coast Premier League semi-final.

The game will be held at Jim Devine Field, Murwillumbah and A-grade kicks off at 3pm with reserve grade at 1pm.

All Roar players will be available to sign autographs and have a chat.

-HEAD to Kingscliff Cinemax for a chance to see some non-mainstream flicks, accompanied by tasty food and comfortable surroundings.

La Traviata is showing all weekend and Turandot and Cloudburst are showing on Sunday.

-TWIN Towns Services Club will host songwriter Don McLean In Concert Sunday  night at 7pm.

Don McLean galvanised a generation with his timeless hit American Pie and other hits such as Crying, And I Love You So and Vincent.

-CALDERA Country Music Club will meet again at 2pm on Sunday at Condong Bowling Club, just near Murwillumbah.

Last month over 130 people enjoyed a great afternoon's entertainment provided by Sandfire backing band and 17 different artists.
