FOOTAGE of a driver cutting off a learner driver and allegedly punching him at Yatala has been posted on YouTube.

The dash cam vision uploaded by Dash Cam Owners Australia on Saturday shows a driver in a white Hyundai Excel over taking a four-wheel-drive.

According to the details uploaded with the video, the driver of the four-wheel-drive was a learner driver returning from a fishing trip.

Once in front of the four-wheel-drive, the white Excel brakes a few times and then stops forcing the learner driver to come to a halt, clipping the Excel's rear as they do.

The driver of the Excel then jumps out of the car but the four-wheel-drive pulls away and drives off.

After this the dash cam is switched off.

"I switched the cam off after hitting him to save the video," it says in the description on the YouTube video.

"After that he overtook up the left and boxed us in with his friend in the white ute.

"His friend then crashed into us when the Excel braked again to stop us.

"They then smashed our driver's window and punched me."
