TAYLOR Swift has released her new 'Blank Space' music video in which she portrays a screaming, crying, knife-welding scorned lover.

Swift introduced the video via Vimeo, YouTube and Facebook early this morning (AEST).

The video, directed by Joseph Kahn, was posted online prior but quickly taken down.

The NZ Herald reports, Kahn has taken aim at Yahoo Music bosses for the stuff up.

Kahn wrote on social media: "Yup. Yahoo effed up. Wait to see the Blank Space video. Let Taylor introduce it herself. It'll be worth it."

At the start of the video, Swift sings about being in love with co-star, model Sean O'Pry as they ride horses, picnic and dance in the grand ballroom of a stately home.

But then she becomes the scorned lover, brandishing a knife, cutting up his clothes and taking to his vintage car with a golf club.

Some media are saying Swift's latest video has "changed the world for ever by smashing every paradigm".
