Wear green just to be sure on St Pat’s Day
Lá Fhéile Pádraig aka St Patrick's Day is being celebrated around the Tweed.
Did you know that originally the colour associated with Saint Patrick was blue and not green?
Green has grown with green ribbons and shamrocks being worn in celebration of St Patrick's Day as early as the 17th century.
The history behind the popular day is that Saint Patrick is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved clover, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish.
In the Tweed the day is set to be a ripper with lots of great things happening.
