MARK Humphry, who took the accompanying video of a storm approaching Point Danger from the south, will get ample opportunity to film similar sights over the next week as the Bureau of Meteorology predicts a continuation of the wet weather conditions.

Mr Humphry took the time-lapse vision around 7pm (NSW) yesterday as the storm clouds raced north, heavily laden with water vapour which fortunately stayed within the clouds, saving the sodden Tweed and Northern Rivers from another torrential downpour.

The BoM's forecast for the immediate future is for rain, rain and more rain although there is only the likelihood of thunderstorms on Thursday.

Today: Possible shower in the afternoon or evening.

Thursday: Few showers with a chance of thunderstorms afternoon and evening.

Friday: Shower or two.

Saturday: Few showers.

Sunday: Shower or two.

Monday: Possible showers.

Tuesday: Possible showers in the morning
