Never mind, it's just a crocodile ... surfing

WHILE most of us spent the day working, a 3m crocodile sunned himself on Blacks Beach before entering the sea and swimming off.

Vanessa North, a resident of Blacks Beach, noticed the crocodile yesterday after her son told her there was something in the water.

"It was almost parallel to the beach and then turned around and went up over the waves and disappeared," she said.

"We then followed it at walking pace for about two kilometres down towards McCreadys Ck.

"It was both scary and exciting."

She said no one was in the water at the time but said she had seen people swimming in the spot previously.
