Lotto winner still a mystery

A TWEED Heads resident will get some very good news when they open their mail this week.

The winner of Friday’s $100,000 Lucky Lotteries draw has still not been notified, but Newton’s Newsagency owner Robert Newton said the good news was in the post.

“Someone will get a nice envelope with New South Wales Lotteries printed on it sometime this week,” Mr Newton said.

“They are registered, but we don’t know who they are.

“They still have not been notified.”

The division one Lucky Lotteries $2 ticket, number 212206, was sold at Newton’s Newsagency most likely some time in the past week.

Mr Newton said many of the agency’s customers had seen the article in Saturday’s Tweed Daily News about the mystery winner and had come in hopeful their ticket was the winner.

“Everyone’s been saying ‘It’s my ticket’,” Mr Newton said.

But even if it wasn’t their turn this time, customers are still in with a good chance of winning in the future, with the Wharf Street shop selling 30 first division winners in their 30 years of business.
