Wicked wipeouts

Given the surf has been a little on the gentle side lately, here's a look at what can happen when waves off the Sunshine Coast are a little less forgiving.

Wipeouts are usually not too enjoyable for those who fall off the board but for those watching, they're great to look at.

Click through the gallery to see some of the wipeouts snapped by Sunshine Coast Daily photographers who happened to be in the right place at the right time.

If you have a photo to contribute, email it to photo@thedaily.com.au.

And don’t forget to checkout the galleries showing off collections of our photographers' best work and our sports extra section.
