DINOSAUR-loving PM hopeful Clive Palmer looks set to turn his attention to becoming a media mogul, however it doesn't look likely to happen any time soon.
Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au has priced odds of $1.33 that The Australian Times won't be launched within the next 12 months, with $3.00 priced if it does hit the stands and the internet before July 2014.
Publicly, Mr Palmer is neither confirming or denying reports he will set up a rival to The Australian after a series of articles targeting him.
Mr Palmer lodged a trade mark for The Australian Times on July 1 in relation to print and online media services, leading to speculation he is getting set to launch his own media publication in Australia
If the publication does get off the ground it doesn't look likely to cause too much competition, with Black Caviar like odds of $1.05 priced for it to have less circulation figures than the Courier Mail.
And just what will be featured in Australia's newest news outlet?
Clive Palmer himself has been priced at $1.50 to appear on the front cover of the first edition, with Queensland Premier Campbell Newman next in the market at $9.00 followed next by a picture of the Titanic ($10) and Tony Abbott ($11).
"Whatever Clive sets his mind to usually ends up happening, but with politics, the building of the Titanic and visions of dinosaurs running through his head, this project is tipped to take a back step for at least a year," said sportsbet.com.au's Shaun Anderson.
