Winning flood relief auction

LUFFLEY Cafe hosted an auction for flood relief at its monthly Dinner Dance last week.

The cafe raised more than $2000 for the Premier’s Queensland Flood Appeal with more than 70 guests enjoying dinner and music by saxophone player Kel of the Jazz Canaries, Latin sounds by Jackie McDonald and guitarist Hoel Durand.

The auction was hosted by Murwillumbah’s Bernie Quinn, with two Greenline bicycles donated by Aussie Beach Bicycles and a single night’s stay donated by Uki’s Ecoasis Retreat, the prizes.

Tyalgum resident Solar Chapel thanked all the local businesses for their help on the night.

“Luffley Cafe wishes to thank all those that donated prizes and acknowledges the generous support.”
