Winter not so chilly

WINTER arrives today on the heels of a cooler than average May.

Last month was one of the coldest on record for the Tweed region, with below-average temperatures, however, June is expected to be, well, average.

“It is not likely that the Tweed area will have below average temperatures this winter,” Bureau of Meteorology climatologist Acacia Pepler said yesterday.

This week expect scattered showers, minimums no lower than 11 degrees and maximums of 22.
