BUNDABERG detectives wish to speak to a man and woman who witnessed the death of a 53-year-old man in Bundaberg.
Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Sergeant David Tucker said the man died by the road on Goodwin St early yesterday.
"We were called there by a member of the public who had been flagged down by two other persons, a man and a woman," he said.
"Upon arrival, the man was in cardiac arrest."
Det Sgt Tucker said despite resuscitation attempts, the man did not respond and was later pronounced dead at Bundaberg Hospital.
"Subsequent inquiries have revealed that the person may have died as a result of a medical condition," he said.
"However a post-mortem will be carried out in Rockhampton (today) and it is hoped this will reveal a cause of death."
Det Sgt Tucker said investigations were still ongoing as police wanted to speak to the pair who was first on scene but left before emergency services had arrived.
"Police are appealing to these persons to come forward," he said.
