Woman cops ticket after sleep-driving near Chinderah

A 42-YEAR-old woman was charged for failing to properly control her vehicle after falling asleep on the Pacific Hwy near Chinderah on Sunday night.

Acting Inspector Mark Gorton said the woman was headed northbound when she fell asleep at the wheel at about 7.30pm.

Insp Gorton said this caused the woman's vehicle to veer into the dividing barrier.

He said no one was injured, but the woman didn't get off without a ticket.
