Woman critically injured in family driveway dies in hospital

AN IPSWICH woman who was critically injured in an accident in her family's driveway has died.

The 36-year-old was pinned under the front of a sedan on September 21 last year, after getting out to open the front gate for her father, who was driving.

The man's foot slipped off the brake, causing the vehicle to lurch forward.

Firefighters used air bags to lift the vehicle off the injured woman, who was then revived on site before being rushed to hospital.

Police said the woman passed away in hospital yesterday.
