Woman facing murder charges after ugly domestic dispute

A BRIBIE ISLAND woman accused of killing her partner and stabbing her daughter's boyfriend will stand trial for murder and attempted murder.

Nicola Maria Baillie allegedly stabbed her partner, Darrin Karl Gay, before she turned on Nathan Evans during a domestic dispute in April, 2012.

A committal hearing in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this week heard Ms Baillie, Mr Gay, Mr Evans and his girlfriend had been living together at Bribie Island.

A fight erupted over a stolen TV, prompting Baillie to allegedly scratch Mr Evans.

Mr Evans claimed Mr Gay hit him and the next thing he remembered was waking up on the floor bleeding.

Mr Evans's girlfriend is Baillie's daughter.

Police allegedly found a knife in Mr Evans' bedroom.

Baillie's lawyer conceded there was a prima facie case against his client.

Magistrate Elizabeth Hall committed Baillie to stand trial in the Supreme Court on a date to be set.
