Woman flown to Brisbane after single car crash at Blue Knob

A WOMAN was airlifted to Brisbane's Princess Alexandra hospital by the Westpac Life Saver Helicopter late on Wednesday after a single vehicle crash at Blue Knob.

Emergency services were tasked to the crash on Blue Knob Rd at about 4.40pm.

When police and paramedics arrived they found a 52-year-old woman suffering spinal injuries.

Blue Knob Rd was blocked for some time while the woman's red hatchback was salvaged.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the scene and airlifted the woman to hospital in a stable condition.
