Woman freed from wreck on M'boro Hervey Bay Rd

DOORS were cut from a car a 69-year-old woman was trapped inside on Monday afternoon.

Emergency Services were called to the intersection of Urraween and Maryborough Hervey Bay Rds about 4pm.

While the male driver of one of the cars - which ended up in a ditch - escaped uninjured, the woman in the other car had to be freed from the wreckage by firefighters and was taken to hospital with suspected broken ribs.

Anyone who witnessed the crash should phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
