Three injured in crash

A WOMAN is in intensive care at Gold Coast Hospital with head injuries following a serious car crash at Drake overnight.

Police paramedics and the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter were called to just after midnight on Long Gully Rd.

When they arrived they found a 38-year-old woman suffering head and multiple trauma injuries.

She was taken to Tabulam oval where a doctor and paramedic worked for 30 minutes to stabilise her condition, before she was airlifted to Gold Coast Hospital.

Two other patients were taken by ambulance to Lismore Base Hospital.

Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter staff are preparing to airlift a 30-year-old man, who is suffering head and spinal injuries, to Gold Coast Hospital.

Police are investigating the smash.
