Woman stabbed in Nerang attack

A WOMAN was stabbed and her lung punctured in a dispute at Nerang last night.

Around 4pm, the 20 year old woman and a 22 year old man heard a group of four men knocking over wheelie bins, rattling fences and threatening residents on their street, The Grange.

The pair confronted the men resulting in a struggle between the man and one of the members of the group who then pulled out a knife.

The same man then stabbed the woman in the left hand side of her back before all four men fled on foot.

The woman was taken to Gold Coast Hospital for treatment.

She suffered non-life threatening injuries, including a punctured lung.
