A MELBOURNE woman who stopped her vehicle to investigate a car crash discovered her mother had been killed in the accident.

Bozica Nikolic, 56, from Greenvale and a 60-year-old from West Meadows were killed in a collision at Attwood on Sunday night.

Ms Nikolic's daughter, Marina Nikolic, told the ABC: "There was 100 people. I parked my car, I didn't know what was going on, and my sister called me.

"She said, 'Mum's been in an accident'. And I said, 'Look, I know exactly where she is'.

"And I went to the car and said 'that's my mum'."
