Car reverses over woman’s leg at Inskip Point

UPDATE:

A WOMAN, in her 60s, was taken to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition yesterday morning after her leg was run over by a reversing car near the Fraser Island barge stop. 

The woman suffered soft tissue damage on the lower part of her leg. 

Ambulance officers were called to the scene at 11.10am. 

EARLIER:

A WOMAN'S leg has been run over at the barge near Inskip Point on Sunday morning.

AT 11:10am emergency services were called to the scene at Inskip Point, near the barge that transports residents to Fraser Island, following a report of a woman who was on the beach when her leg was run over by a vehicle travelling at a slow speed.

Queensland Ambulance is still on scene treating the patient who has minor soft tissue injuries.
