Worker suffers 3m fall

A MAN was taken to Tweed Hospital after falling 3m at a workplace in Tweed Heads South this morning.

An Ambulance Service of NSW spokeswoman said the paramedics were called to an Enterprise Ave business at 11.42am after a man had fallen.

The 30-year-old man was transported to hospital with an arm injury.

A Workcover Authority of NSW spokeswoman said the accident occurred on a construction site.

"The man fell 3m off scaffolding," the spokeswoman said.

"He was high-pressure cleaning concrete at the time."

The spokeswoman said Workcover investigators had visited the site and investigation were continuing.

Tweed Shire Council confirmed the accident occurred at the water treatment plant on Enterprise Ave.

Upgrade contractors Tenix were unavailable for comment.
