Would-be robber strikes restaurant
POLICE are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a restaurant in Miami last night.
Initial investigations indicate two men armed with an iron bar entered the Gold Coast Highway restaurant about 8.20pm and demanded cash.
The female employee called out to a passing member of the public, causing the two men to flee the restaurant empty-handed.
The men were last seen running towards the Gold Coast Highway.
The men are described as Caucasian, around 165cm tall, both with a slim build and aged between 18 and 20 years old.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
