Yep, we're Maroon to the core
WITH the State of Origin decider taking place tomorrow, we thought we'd test your Maroon loyalty yesterday with a somewhat biased State of Origin quiz.
At the time of writing this story, of the 1000-plus votes, 88% said Queenslanders have the greatest rugby league team ever, with great sports - win, lose or draw, and followers with more passion than Blues fans.
A whopping 95%, very insightfully, voted Blues players as whingers, cry babies and sooky bubbas.
Ninety-seven percent said watching the Maroons makes them feel proud, "We have a team that never says 'die' ".
Advice to Paul Gallen from 92% of the voters: take a chill pill, watch the movie Liar, Liar and read Pinocchio.
Nate Miles is a hero who tackles and runs hard (but fair) and will do anything for Queensland, according to 91% of those who participated. But no one solely voted him as a hero.
Maroons supporters will out-voice Blatchy's Blues in Sydney as well as have more fun (including smile more at the game) and watch their team win easy, said 88%.
Will Queensland make it eight-straight series in Sydney? The answer: Oath yeah. They'll do it for their inspirational coach (90%).
According to 88% of respondents, Queensland coach Mal Meninga should be given the keys to the state, made immortal and allowed to drink behind any bar in Queensland.
Do the Blues get the Origin Concept? No, they never will, said 96% but a kind 3% said "Ummmm, give them a chance - they'll prove it in the decider." We'll see.
And finally, 78% said people from Fiji, New Zealand, New South Wales and Mars choose Queensland because the Maroons jumper is sacred and inspiring, 15% voted it is because those places are, in fact, in Queensland and the remaining 6% said it is because they're not good enough elsewhere.
