Youth culture event tomorrow

DON'T let the name put you off, because this weekend's Crapfest is set to be anything but ...

The innaugural Creative Recreation Arts Performance Festival is a conglomeration of youth culture events to be held at the Pottsville Public School on Saturday. Battle of the Airwaves, a hair and beauty show, skateboarding and anime are just some of the things that will feature at the all ages festival.

The 10am to 7.30pm event will conclude with a surf themed short film festival.

Organiser Tanya Tagget said the festival was a valuable outlet for youth creativity.

“If we give the kids something to aim towards it might just keep them engaged and contribute towards keeping them out of mischief.”
