Youth service gets new home

A YOUTH service at Cabarita has found a new home.

Cabarita Youth Service will move to Pottsville Beach Community Centre after the council voted at its meeting on Tuesday to establish a "hot desk" for administration purposes.

Respite Services relocated to Kingscliff leaving a vacancy at the centre.

The youth service received a notice to vacate the premises at the old Cabarita Post Office (Heathers) because the building was taken over by Woolworths for redevelopment.

Land owners Stocklands allowed the service to use the premises rent-free until plans were finalised for the redevelopment.

Cabarita Youth Service personnel were unavailable for comment on the relocation.
