Boys arrested after throwing rocks at trucks

TWO boys who thought it would be fun to throw rocks at on-coming trucks at 3am have been arrested.

A 15-year-old and 12-year-old, both from Tweed, were arrested after police received reports of the boys throwing the rocks in the early hours of Friday morning.

"Tweed Heads Police received a number of calls from motorists who had rocks thrown at their trucks whilst travelling both north and south bound along the Pacific Hwy crossing Terranora Creek near Kennedy Dr," Crime Co-ordinator Stuart Crawford said.

"Drivers reported smashed windscreens and headlights."

Police attended Shearwater Pde and arrested the two youths.

Sgt Crawford said further inquires were being undertaken to identify any other vehicles damaged.
