Zac Efron is free at Surfers
THE chance to experience an outdoor cinema is back this month in the heart of Surfers Paradise.
Movies on The Green is a free community event held at Circle on Cavill.
Sunday summer movie sessions began last weekend with a screening of Race to Witch Mountain.
Movies will continue every weekend until the end of January.
This Sunday’s movie session will feature the popular 17 Again starring High School Musical’s Zac Efron and Friends’ Matthew Perry.
In 17 Again, thirty-something Mike O’Donnell finds himself back at high school as the star of the football team and classmate to his own teenage kids and is given the chance to live out his high school dreams.
Sunday, January 24, will see the final movie session, with family favourite Bolt starring John Travolta and teen sensation Miley Cyrus.
Bolt is about a modern-day action hero dog raised on the set of a hit television show who believes he has amazing super powers until he is shipped to New York City where his daredevil stunts no longer go to plan.
Marketing manager for Circle on Cavill, Katrina Travers, said the movie sessions offered residents and visitors free entertainment in an outdoor setting.
“We are thrilled to provide a free diverse program of events in such a great location.”
All movies will be shown on Sunday afternoons starting from 2.30pm, with no need to book.
Bean bags are provided, or movie-goers can take a blanket or sit on the grass at Circle on Cavill.
