Zumbo crashes TV ratings race as Survivor viewership slips
VIEWERS have warmed to Seven's new food show Zumbo's Just Desserts.
The sugary series, which was heavily promoted during the Olympics, premiered last night and was the most watched entertainment show of the night.
The series, which sees amateur dessert cooks put through their paces by pastry chefs Adriano Zumbo, his co-host Rachel Khoo and contestant mentor Gigi Falanga, drew a metro audience 1.081 million, coming third after Seven's nightly news bulletins.
The Block, which comfortably beat Ten's Australian Survivor on Sunday night, only dipped slightly from its debut audience of 1.074 million metro viewers to 961,000 average million viewers (peaking at 1.719 million nationally) for last night's 48-hour challenge room reveals.
Survivor slipped to the 14th most-watched show of the night with 734,000 metro viewers, a drop of 50,000 viewers from Sunday's premiere.
The reality show, hosted by Jonathan LaPaglia, was out-rated by The Project, the return of Home and Away and even Ten's quiz show Have You Been Paying Attention?
Zumbo's Just Desserts and The Block continue tonight.
